H3N2 Canine Influenza
Routine
infection control precautions are key to
preventing spread of any viral disease within
our facility. Cleaning protocols that we
established from our opening day have been
followed and include; thoroughly cleaning and
disinfecting cages, bowls, and other surfaces
between uses. Employees wash their hands with
soap and water before and after handling each
dog; after coming into contact with a dog's
saliva, urine, or feces; after cleaning cages;
and upon arriving at and before leaving our
facility.
We recently reviewed our
hospital grade protocols with our facility
veterinary clinic, Forest Oaks Animal Hospital.
No changes were necessary but we have elected to
add additional spraying to our play areas.
During check-in we will be reviewing how
your pet(s) have been doing and if they have
shown any signs of illness. Any pet showing
symptoms of being sick will not be permitted in
the facility. Our required all animals must be
current on vaccines given by a veterinarian has
not changed!
We believe a clean kennel
is a healthy and much happier place for your pet
to stay! Please feel free to
contact
us if you have any questions on our cleaning
protocols.
